LG mobile phone roadmap leaks
LG mobile phone roadmap leaks
Monday, 25 July 2011The plans for LG's upcoming smartphone releases for this year have been leaked online.
The roadmap outlines seven new phones, six of which are Android devices, the LG K, Prada K2, Univa, Victor, Gelato NFC, E2, and one Windows Phone 7 Mango handset, the LG Fantasy.
The phones may be launched with different names and are still subject to change before release. The little information we have on the phones is below:
The LG K looks to be the next flagship phone, rumours also suggest that this could be considered as the next Google Nexus phone, so it seem that this phone runs Android. It is reported that it features a 4.5 inch display with a resolution similar to Apple iPhone 4's Retina display.
The Prada K2 continues LG's fashion line of phones. A 4.5 inch touchscreen display, dual core processor, 16GB of storage and video call camera are set to be featured in a slim 8.8mm Android handset.
The Univa which is also known as the Optimus 2 has an 800Mhz processor, 3.5 inch touchscreen, 5 megapixel camera, WiFi and runs on Android.
The Victor features a 3.8 inch touchscreen, 1Ghz processor, 5 megapixel rear camera, front facing camera and WiFi, again this runs on Android.
As the name suggests, the Gelato NFC, has support for NFC, runs on Android and comes with a 3.2 inch touchscreen, 800Mhz processor and 3 megapixel camera.
The E2 is a small basic Android phone with a basic camera and processor, little else is known about this device.
The Windows Phone 7 Mango device, the LG Fantasy has no other information about it, but as it is a Windows Phone 7 handset it should feature some top specifications.
Release dates, availability and prices have yet to be announced, but these phones are expected launch between now and the end of the year.
