The Nokia C3 is a Qwerty keyboard mobile phone offering more style than features. The style of the phone is very similar to a BlackBerry, with the same similar shape, however this phone has a bit more of a fun, youthful element added to it. It looks more stylish with its colourful metal front and aluminium back plate. It is available in different colours.

Messaging is the main feature and the phone has a Qwerty keyboard, which again is reminiscent of a BlackBerry. Typing on the keyboard is quick and easy for those who are used to them, however for us it took a while to get going. The operating system is a little outdated but it is very easy to use.

The phone has WiFi support which makes web browsing and using social networking fast. However there is no 3G connection which means social networking and web browsing is very slow when not connected to WiFi.

This is not the best spec phone we have seen, the screen is not the best, the resolution is low and it seems quite dull. There is no GPS and the camera is only 2 megapixels but it does have an FM radio and music player. Though it doesn't seem Nokia were going for a high end device.

Ultimately this is a stylish budget phone, which is great for messaging. This phone will likely appeal to a younger audience who are looking for a BlackBerry style phone for messaging but have a small budget, and for that this could be suitable.

Summary:

  • Good Points: Stylish
  • Bad Points: no 3G, more style than function
  • Others to consider: BlackBerry Curve
  • Free on contract with: Vodafone, O2, T-Mobile
