Aardman Animations create and shoot another record breaking animation with the Nokia N8
Wednesday, 3 August 2011Nokia has teamed up with Aardman Animations (Wallace and Gromit, Chicken Run and Flushed Away) once again to set another Guinness World Record.
You may remember that Nokia and Aardman set a Guinness World Record for the worlds smallest stop motion character animation with Dot (View here). This time they have set a Guinness World Record for the world’s largest stop-motion animation set with the short film entitled Gulp.
The film was shot using the Nokia N8 smartphone which has a 12 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens. Three Nokia N8 phones were elevated 36 meters above the ground on a cherry picker on a beach in South Wales, UK and shot a canvas of 42.71 meters x 24 meters, making it the world's largest stop-motion animation set.
